This is a refreshed version of the Spring newsletter – which is presently being distributed.
Your Parish Council Needs You !
As spring comes around again, it may feel like a good time to get out of the house and (re)-engage with the world around us. And there are plenty of things happening “out there” which would benefit greatly from our involvement!
As just one example of this, later this year there will be an urgent need for new parish councillors to represent the interests of our community and ensure our voices are being heard. For a rundown of what this involves and who to contact to find out more, see pages 4 and 5.
In other news, we have a beautiful new parish logo! Congratulations to Ray Campbell on his fantastic winning design. See page 6 for a very interesting insight into how the new logo was conceived, and the front cover of this issue to see the full colour version.
And last but not least … the sun has actually made an appearance once or twice in the last few weeks, so in a spirit of optimism, I recommend that you check out the articles from St. Peter’s Church (p 8 onwards), the Somer Valley Ramblers (p 16), the Cam Valley Wildlife Group (p 18) and Camerton and Peasedown Croquet Club (p 20) for information on outdoor (as well as indoor) activities taking place over the next few months.
